Eighth Day: The Science of Renewal
A new force in luxury skincare, Eighth Day is redefining how we think about beauty and regeneration. The brand’s philosophy is rooted in science rather than hype, with a focus on harnessing bioidentical ingredients—peptides, amino acids, and growth factors—that mirror those naturally found in the skin. The result is a line of high-performance formulations designed to repair, restore, and renew.
At the helm of the brand is its founder, Dr. Antony Nakhla, a double board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon. His career has centered on skin cancer treatment, Mohs micrographic reconstructive surgery, and wound healing, but his concept of beauty extends beyond the clinic. “I work with both reconstructive and cosmetic patients, guided by the belief that people look best and most naturally beautiful when they look like themselves,” he explains. “That principle became the foundation for Eighth Day.”

The idea for the brand was born from his work in medicine. “The science behind Eighth Day was conceived when I made the connection between the bioidentical dressings and bandages I use to heal open wounds for my skin cancer patients and the transformative effects these same bioidentical ingredients could have on skin regeneration,” says Dr. Nakhla. “Treating aging skin is like treating wounded skin, only it is wounded by the sun, the environment, and the passage of time. My goal was to create formulations that support the skin’s innate ability to renew and repair—a brand built on the science of renewal, not hype.”
Even the brand’s name reflects that ethos. “The cycle of time is measured in seven; Eighth Day is synonymous with renewal. It’s about defining what’s next—for the future of skincare, and for your skin’s next chapter.”
At the heart of Eighth Day is its proprietary, patent-pending technology, Peptide-Rich Plasma®. “It is composed of 24 bioidentical peptides, amino acids, and growth factors—the building blocks of your skin’s health,” explains Dr. Nakhla. The patented Regenerative Serum, powered by the highest concentration of this technology, has been clinically proven to improve firmness and elasticity, while the newest Ultra-Rich Intensive Moisturizer addresses dryness and volume loss with next-generation VolumatrixSubQ™ biotechnology.

As for the Eighth Day customer, Dr. Nakhla describes her as “someone who looks for results above all else, but she also appreciates a great experience—beautiful textures that feel great when you put them on… and she has a busy life, so she looks for products that multi-task.”
Looking ahead, Nakhla sees regenerative skincare moving hand in hand with longevity science. “We’re essentially giving the skin the precise building blocks it needs to repair and renew itself,” he says. “That will always remain the foundation of the brand.”
